Service Description
Yoga is so much more than the asana, and Chair Yoga is your opportunity to deepen your Yoga practice past your asana practice. If its been a while since you have practiced, you have an injury that prevents you from moving through an asana practice on your mat, you have moved through menopause and find sitting in padasana or lotus pose for meditation painful, then maybe its time to give Chair Yoga a try. This 60 minute class starts with pranayama, connecting with your breath, finding the stillness between your inhale and exhale, you will then be guided through a short meditation. We will invite movement into the practice with some seated asana, and also some standing asana using the chair as an aid to deepen your practice. Anyone with blood pressure issues that finds a traditional sun salutations is no longer available can try this class with an adapted sun salutation that allows you to gain all the benefits of the sun salutation without the risk of falling due to head spins and blackouts. Don’t give up on your practice, you are more than just the body, you are more that the mind. Let’s explore this together.
